The new 8x50 Explore Scientific finderscope is a cut above other devices, not only due to its high quality manufacturing and high picture quality. It has several qualities which make it stand out from the crowd:

- clamp-on microfocussing on the end of the eyepiece

- dimmable, wireless, integrated light

- polar engravings for Northern and Southern Hemispheres

All important companion stars are marked so that it can be aligned to the poles without using an alignment scale or calculations. The finderscope is especially useful when combined with the Explore Scientific Drive Master telescope. It is also better for your back than using a conventional pole finder - the days of only being able to view the usual systems in uncomfortable positions are a thing of the past.
