The Advance Unit is an accessory to, and works only in combination with, the Star Book Ten.
You simply insert the Advance Unit into the purpose-built slot in the bottom of the Star Books, having first unscrewed the slot cover.
The Advance Unit transforms your Star Book Ten in a camera control:
- you can use this optional module to take and store pictures with a CCD camera using a SD memory card. You have the possibility to trigger your camera using the Advance Unit, and adjust the shutter speed.
- Images of analogue AV signals (NTSC FBAS) can be displayed on the Star Book Ten screen. The video images can be stored on a SD/SDHC memory card. You can operate autoguiding in the same way.
- A SD/SDHC memory card slot is pre-installed. Videos are stored for later playback on the SD/SDHC memory card by the Advance Unit. In addition, images can be stored on the SD/SDHC memory card in JPEG and BMP format and displayed on the Star Book Ten.
- Using a cable that you can buy in any camera store you can adjust the exposure and interval times of your DSLR camera.
- The Advance Unit is equipped with a USB Port for devices under 500mA power consumption.
The combination of star book Ten and Advance Unit replaces the use of a laptop or PC. All the electronics you need are covered by this handy device.
