Levenhuk Nelson Marine Monocular will be a great assistant to fishermen and water trip lovers. This lightweight and compact tool will easily fit anywhere, even in a pocket. 7x/ 8x magnification is sufficient for detailed observation of remote objects. A minimum focus distance of 3 m allows for exploring a close coastline.
This marine monocular is equipped with a compass and rangefinder. We recommend using the compass during the daytime, since it has no illumination. You can see the instrument dials in the eyepiece. In order to use the rangefinder, you need to know the size (height) of an object to calculate how far away it is. The distance is calculated with a special formula based on the rangefinder indication. Or you can calculate the size of an object if you know the distance to it.
The arc dial in the compass is graduated in degrees. Division value is 1°. The compass indicates the direction towards the object. North is 360°, South is 180°, East is 90° and West is 270°.
All optical elements are made of quality BaK-4 glass. The lenses are fully multi-coated, so the image will remain bright and clear even in dim illumination.
You can customize the diopter adjustment by twisting the eyepiece. The waterproof shell is made of durable plastic. Nitrogen filling prevents the inner surface of the lenses from fogging.
We recommend using this monocular with the Levenhuk FS10 Floating Strap near water: the bright accessory will prevent the optical tool from sinking or getting lost.
