Microscopen voor mariene biologie
Het vakgebied mariene biologie omvat net zo'n breed spectrum aan onderzoeksvragen als de gehele biologie. Dit betekent dat vrijwel elk type microscoop hier wordt ingezet. Van hoogwaardige stereomicroscopen met Galilei-optiek tot geavanceerde rechtopstaande microscopen met fluorescentiecontrast – alles komt aan bod. Daartussen worden diverse contrasttechnieken toegepast, zoals fasecontrast en DIC (differentieel interferentiecontrast).
