Here's how it works: The film is framed by two aluminium rings. The frame can then be firmly attached to the front opening of the telescope by means of adjustable pins. In this way, the intense light from the Sun does not even get into the optics.
Which filter fits your telescope? The selection list (PDF) or the table below show you all the available filter sizes. For each size, you can see the outer diameter measurement to which the filter can be attached.
It is not possible to determine the filter size directly from the telescope aperture, since a dew shield is attached to many instruments. So it's best to measure the outside diameter of your telescope yourself.
