The LH-55 ballhead has a load capacity of 25 kilograms. This is achieved by the large ball diameter of 55 millimetres, which is manufactured with a tolerance of 0.01 millimetres. This allows the ballhead to easily move and securely clamp even heavy loads. The ballhead itself weighs only 812 grams.
The base diameter of the ball head is 72 millimetres, and it connects to the tripod via a 3/8-inch photo thread.
The ballhead is equipped with an Arca-Swiss standard clamp and a quick release plate.
The PCL version of the LH-55 ballhead comes with a second panoramic plate at the top and a quick-release coupling with clamping lever.

Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
