Viscope - the intelligent sightseeing telescope with integrated environmental information
Who hasn't been there? You're hiking in the mountains, looking at the map and trying to match the peaks with the names on the map – and failing miserably because you just can't figure out which is which. With the Viscope, this is no longer a problem for hikers and holidaymakers, as a panorama with names and, if necessary, additional information is displayed when looking through the sightseeing telescope. Walkers and mountaineers will love this instrument, as it shows the beauty of the surroundings and gives them names. There are now around 50 of these in the Alpine region! And the number is growing...
The instruments require no electricity and contain no electronics that could be damaged by moisture, cold or sunlight. This is made possible by an innovative, purely mechanical technology, in which mountain and place names, path and corridor designations, logos and images are superimposed with pinpoint accuracy in the observer's field of vision.
The instruments work with the available daylight, unfortunately it does not work at night. The telescope also does not magnify the surroundings! The sturdy column is made of galvanised steel Areas of application for the Viscope include mountain railways, viewing platforms, adventure trails, city towers and squares, visitor centres, parks and other excursion destinations.
