The component is not junk. I had it and after fitting the screws properly, it runs smoothly. As always, upgrading mechanics need observation, care, and tuning with the right force. Upgrading mechanics is not like upgrading your phone software, but this is not difficult at all!. The quality is as good as expected from Bresser. The hexafoc itself is great!, but with this, focusing is a smooth experience. Go for it, fit with care.

It's not junk, you just don't know how to set it up properly, so it hits you and gives you the feeling that it grinds, skips and turns hard. The whole thing is to tighten the appropriate screws, some more and some less, it takes a little research. The focuser is a law, I've had it for almost 1 year on my 8 inch Bresser telescope

Extreme low quality and craftmanship.
The microfocuser has a jerky movement, cannot be rotated smoothly at all with stable force to make a full round. Rotating it 360 degree, it's periodically jamming, nearly gets stuck at some positions.
The nice and smooth movement of Hexafoc is gone when this product is fitted.
I tried it on its own as well (not fitted on the telescope), same jerky movement was witnessed.

It has to be one garbage quality.
Very expensive, and very poor quality.
If to be at home milling machine, then it can be to do, but not anyway to be perfect.
Just garbage.
