2" Newtonian glasspath corrector, 1.7X, with built-in coma corrector (front-side with 2" filter thread)
This large glasspath corrector makes it possible to mount bino-viewers onto almost any telescope with a 2" connection! Even the owners of 'fast', i.e. short-focal length, refractors and photographic Newtonians can enjoy observing deep sky objects with both eyes, without vignetting and without light loss due to reflections, etc.
Our expert comment:
You can measure which glass path corrector fits your instruments:
1. first set up an object that is far away.
2. turn the focusers in as far as possible.
3. then turn the focusers one centimetre out again.
4. now take the eyepiece to be used on the binoculars and hold it with your free hand about 20 cm away from the focuser.
5. look through the eyepiece and move it slowly towards the focusers until the image is in focus.
6. use a ruler to knives the distance between the eyepiece stop and the focusers:
- If the distance is between 6.5 and 8 cm, the 2 inch glass path corrector is required: Product 10824
- If the distance is between 3.3 and 6.5cm, the 2.6 glass path corrector is required: Product 8665
- If the distance is between 1.8 and 3.3 cm, the 1.7 glass path corrector is required:Product 8663
- If the distance is between 0 and 1.8 cm, the 1.25 glass path corrector is required Product 8662
