Build your own 3D-printed imaging instrument for spectacular images of the sun with Sol'Ex (Solar Explorer).
Please note: This kit only contains the optical elements. You will also need to obtain the 3D-printed parts and other components (cameras, accessories, etc.). With Sol'Ex (Solar Explorer), you can take incredible pictures of the sun as if you had a very narrow-band filter (typically 0.3 Ångström) - much narrower than any commercially available filter, providing high-contrast views of the chromosphere. You can also choose the wavelength of your image (H-alpha, H-beta, sodium, helium, calcium... the entire visible range is accessible).
This kit consists of:
- Duplet collimator with a diameter of 25.4 mm and a focal length of 80 mm
- Double lens with a diameter of 25.4 mm and a focal length of 125 mm
- Holographic grating measuring 25 x 25 mm, 2400 rpm
- Reflective slit, 10 µm wide and 4.5 mm long on carrier material
