Sol'Ex / SUNSCAN 2-position slit 7 – 10 µm (GEN2)

2nd generation 2-position slit for Sol'Ex and SUNSCAN spectroheliographs or for your own projects.

Please note that the slit is supplied without a 3D printed holder. Two parallel 6 mm long slits instead of one, one 10 µm wide, the other 7 µm. The latter is designed for applications requiring high precision, such as magnetic field measurements.

The substrate is a special heat-resistant glass (Eagle XG) with excellent transmission over a very wide wavelength range (350 to 1000 nm). The side opposite the slit is anti-reflective.

The glass plate measures 12 x 8 mm. It is 2 mm thick, making it relatively robust and easy to clean on both sides (with absorbent cotton and water).
