Serves the old blue skywatcher tubes

This adapter allowed me to mount the omegon low profile 2'' crayford focuser to the tube of an old blue 10'' newtonian from skywatcher. In that respect it serves its function well.
However I am deducting 2 stars from the total due to two reasons: no screws were supplied to fix the adapter to the newtonian tube. Using the original screws results in the adapter being badly secured to the tube due to the higher profile of the adapter, compared to the original rack and pinion base from skywatcher. Unforgivable, seeing you are paying 100€ for a piece of metal.
Furthermore, the shape of the adapter leads to large gaps on the side which are an unwanted source of light contamination and possible dirt and dust entry points. I suspect this was done so the same adapter can be used to different tube diameters but this is a stupid oversight to have in the first place.
Finally, and this is a problem in conjunction with the actual focuser and its base, the way the focuser tube is fixed to the adapter is through screws horizontal to the place of the base rather than vertical. I feel this results in a less secure fit, as it is harder to check whether things are properly in place/secure without trying to force the pieces apart and represents a danger of the whole contraption coming crashing down during use.
If these issues were addressed, this would be a 5-star product.

I bought this adapter in order to put the Omegon Focuser Newton Hybrid Crayford Dual Speed 2" on my Orion 10 inch Dob. Since the Orion Dobs are made by the same company as the Skywatcher it was the perfect spacing for the holes that were already in my OTA. Very straight forward and no new holes to drill! The difficulty came when the wider adapter rubbed against the knobs of the focuser. In future manufacture of this adapter, I suggest making cut-outs or indentations on both ends of one side of the adapter to make room for the knobs. That change could have saved me 2 hours of trial and error tinkering with a file to make my own indentations.
