It goes without saying that a ballhead weighing over 800 g can also carry the corresponding load. In this case, it is half a hundredweight (25 kg). To visualise this, it corresponds to the weight of a full bag of cement, for example. This makes it clear that the Leofoto LH-55 can also carry heavy cameras with long lenses very confidently and hold them securely even in panning positions. With the LH-55, Leofoto offers demanding photographers a truly professional ballhead. Its immense strength is based on its materials and technology: it is not made from ordinary aluminium, but from a high-density, extremely durable aircraft aluminium alloy (black anodised here). It is not moulded or forged, but milled with complete accuracy using CNC controls.

Leofoto uses high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium alloy with magnesium and silicon as alloy components for the metal parts. This corrosion-resistant material is characterised by high strength and good toughness. The yield strength is comparable to that of structural steel. All parts are milled from solid material on state-of-the-art CNC machines and are therefore significantly more stable than cast parts. Leofoto makes no compromises here either !
