With the ultra-compact Bresser solar charger, you can easily harness the power of the sun to charge your instruments. Solar energy is free – and you remain independent of the mains supply!
Simply unfold it, set it down and start generating green solar power straight away
It couldn’t be simpler to use: unfold the solar panel and position it as vertically as possible towards the sun. Then connect the instrument you wish to charge to the solar charger, either using a suitable USB cable (not included) or the DC connection cable provided. The charging process will begin straight away.
Which instruments can the solar panel charge?
Any instrument with a USB power supply port or the DC barrel connector mentioned above will be up and running again in no time with the solar charger – e.g. Smartphones, tablets, power banks, portable PlayStations, MP4 players, GPS devices and Bluetooth headphones. For charging large power stations, we recommend the more powerful Bresser solar panels with an output of at least 60 watts – see item nos. 3810050, 3810060, 3810070.
Universal charger with flexible connection options
A USB-A socket is available for powering your instruments. There is also an additional universal socket for DC barrel plugs with a diameter of 5.5/2.1 mm. A universal connection cable with 5.5/2.1 mm DC plugs on both ends, 2 metres in length, as well as 3 plug adaptors (3.5/1.35 mm, 5.5/2.5 mm, 8.0/5.5/0.8 mm) are included in the scope of delivery. The polarity of the connectors is as follows: inner contact = positive (+), outer contact = negative (-).
Carabiner hooks for attachment included
Sturdy carabiner hooks are included in the pack so that you can securely attach the solar panel to an object and align it perfectly with the sun. Simply attach these to the riveted ring eyelets on the solar panel and use them to hang the solar charger securely, e.g. from a tent loop, a fence or other suitable attachment points. If you attach it to your rucksack, you can even use the time whilst hiking to charge it.
Innovative, high-efficiency solar cell technology
Monocrystalline silicon cells ensure high efficiency and the fastest possible charging of your instruments’ batteries. This means maximum power output per unit area of solar panel. As a result, you benefit from relatively high charging currents and short charging times, all within a compact design.
Easy to carry
Thanks to the modern, flat design, you can simply fold the individual segments of the solar panel into a small bag and stow them away in your luggage to save space. Always ready for the next spontaneous outing.
Robust, dust- and water-repellent materials
The durable Cordura fabric is extremely tear-resistant yet flexible. It protects the valuable solar panel from damage and provides the necessary stability during use. The solar panel is dust- and water-repellent, so it can withstand most weather conditions, making it your ideal companion for almost all outdoor activities. Nevertheless, the solar panel should not be exposed to direct rain or heavy damp.
Please note:
- The solar panel does not have an integrated charger or charge controller. It is therefore not suitable for directly charging loose battery cells or lead-acid batteries. It is designed exclusively for use with devices such as Smartphones, tablets and power banks, as these already have built-in chargers.
- The solar panel does not have its own battery, but serves solely as a power source in sunshine for charging electronic instruments.
- When connecting the instruments to be charged via a DC barrel connector, always ensure the correct voltage and polarity are used. Failure to do so may cause damage to the electronics of both the solar panel and the instruments being charged.
- Do not leave the solar panel outdoors at night, in high humidity or in the rain. This could damage the internal electronics.
