We have something to celebrate: in 1923, Wilhelm Will founded a company that continues to manufacture and market microscopes today under the name Helmut Hund GmbH.
To mark this occasion, we are delighted to offer a limited edition of the H 600 Wilo-Prax PL.
This anniversary edition combines technological passion with the spirit of a tradition that is now a century old.
100 years of microscopy Will / HUND:
The optical workshop was founded in Wetzlar-Nauborn in 1923 by Johann Friedrich Wilhelm Will (1898 - 1959).
The first products were microscope lenses and optics for binoculars.
After its initial economic successes, the company built a new building for around 30 employees in the centre of Nauborn in 1939. In 1950, Will successfully began producing school and laboratory microscopes under its own name, enabling it to move into a production facility for 120 employees in 1955.
In 1973, another new building with 1,500 m² of office and production space was added at the same location.
On 1 January 1988, Helmut Hund GmbH, also based in Nauborn, took over the company and with it the microscopy product range. Since then, high-quality laboratory, course and stereo microscopes have been manufactured under the "Hund Wetzlar" label at Will's former location, thus continuing the 100-year tradition of microscope manufacturing.
In addition to laboratory microscopes, dust measuring devices and the world's first fully automatic pollen monitor, Helmut Hund GmbH is now at the centre of scientific and technical innovation with its technological focus on electronics, optics, optical fibre technology, plastics technology and precision engineering. An interdisciplinary team ensures that our customers receive expert support for complex and innovative solutions, in line with our motto "We bring technologies together".
The H 600 WILO-PRAX PL model
was specially designed for use in general medical practices and laboratories.
It is particularly suitable for examining stained cytological and histological specimens. It is also recommended when high-quality photographic documentation is required.
