The PST Micro Sky Tracker is a pocket-sized camera mount capable of supporting photographic equipment weighing up to 3 kilograms and tracking the night sky. Yet it weighs just 360 grams itself!
Thanks to its built-in Li-polymer battery, this star tracker runs for up to ten hours at 20 °C. For even longer sessions, a 5-volt power bank can also be connected. The battery is easily charged via USB Type-C 5V 1A.
The PST is the ideal solution for photographers who are often on the move or who simply want to try their hand at night-sky photography.
This small but versatile instrument features four tracking speeds:
- for stars and deep-sky objects (sidereal)
- for the Moon (lunar)
- for the Sun (solar)
- for the Milky Way with a terrestrial foreground (half tracking speed)
Two handy buttons allow for easy adjustment of the position.
The attractive CNC-machined aluminium housing is robust and the powerful drive is whisper-quiet.
This micro mount features a ‘peephole’ for easy polar alignment. For advanced astrophotography applications, an optional side bracket can be fitted with iOptron’s AccuAlign™ optical or iPolar™ electronic polar finder.
The PST Micro Sky Tracker forms the motorised base unit, which can be upgraded to a high-quality mobile mount for astrophotography through a clever selection of photographic accessories.
