ZEISS Axiocam Family
In contrast to digital cameras for photography or industrial inspection, many aspects of the microscope cameras are optimized to meet specific requirements of applications in science, research and documentation. As each application has very specific requirements, there is a wide range of different digital camera models to choose from. Different pixel sizes, for example, regulate camera sensitivity and spatial resolution. Lower pixel count enables higher frame rates and larger sensors offer better coverage of the field of view.
ZEISS Axiocam 705 mono R2 (426560-9061-000)
The 5-megapixel microscope camera for high-resolution imaging at high speed
With this monochrome CMOS camera with 5 megapixels, you can image even the most dynamic processes in a sample as fluorescence time-lapse sequences. You get more than 60 images per second at full 5-megapixel resolution. Or simply reduce the number of pixels to speed up your imaging even further – to hundreds of images per second. Hardware triggering enables precise timing and extremely fast multidimensional imaging experiments. Active sensor cooling and low image noise during readout make this microscope camera perfect for fluorescence microscopy of dark and sensitive samples. To increase sensitivity, Axiocam 705 uses analogue pixel binning and signal amplification. Even the most demanding applications in fluorescence imaging are mastered – a maximum quantum efficiency of up to 72% and spectral sensitivity from UV to NIR light make it possible.
