The POLAR series offers handcrafted barometers, thermometers and hair hygrometers. These are the most important meteorological measuring instruments, which provide information about current weather conditions and the indoor climate.
All measuring instruments in the POLAR seriesare precisely calibrated at the manufacturer's factory and are completely maintenance-free. Each individual instrument is marked with a serial number. The curved instrument hands allow parallax-free reading of the respective measured value.
The typography and indices on the dial are functional and easy to read, despite their graphic sophistication.
The barometer is used to measure atmospheric air pressure in hPa (measurement accuracy: ± 2 hPa). The deformation of a flat, airless metal can is used to measure atmospheric air pressure. Rising air pressure compresses the can, while falling air pressure causes it to expand again. This movement, which is only a few hundredths of a millimetre, is transmitted to the pointer by means of a precision mechanism, thus displaying the air pressure.
