The POLAR series offers handcrafted barometers, thermometers and hair hygrometers. These are the most important meteorological measuring instruments, which provide information about current weather conditions and the indoor climate.
All measuring instruments in the POLAR seriesare precisely calibrated at the manufacturer's factory and are completely maintenance-free. Each individual instrument is marked with a serial number. The curved instrument hands allow parallax-free reading of the respective measured value.
The typography and indices on the dial are functional and easy to read, despite their graphic sophistication.
The thermometer is used to measure the air temperature in °C and °F. A bimetal with high specific deflection is used as the measuring element, which reacts to temperature changes with low inertia.
The hair hygrometer is used to measure relative humidity in %. Synthetic hair is used as the measuring element, which expands with increasing humidity. The humidity-dependent change in length is transferred to the pointer by means of a fine mechanism. Thanks to a special treatment of the hair, the hygrometer reacts almost instantly to any change in air humidity. The hygrometer also has a dew point scale. In conjunction with the temperature measurement, this allows the dew point temperature to be determined.
The optimal ranges for room temperature and humidity are clearly highlighted on the climate meter. This makes it easy to see at a glance whether the indoor climate is favourable or whether action needs to be taken.
