All aluminium dew shields are equipped with a very durable double weld seam. Lined with felt on the inside to absorb moisture and minimise stray light reflections. Strong thread reinforcements and nylon screws ensure a secure hold and do not cause any tension on the lens or Schmidt plate. The Astrozap aluminium dew shields are colour-matched to the telescope.

The dew shields for SC telescopes with Hyperstar have an additional slot through which the camera cable can be fed.
