A dew cap is a useful accessory for observation nights in areas with high humidity. The moisture condenses on the mirrors of the optics.

The dew cap is essentially an extension of the tube and is simply attached to the end. The moist air condenses on the inner walls of the cap and thus reaches the mirrors with a considerable delay – if all goes well, only at the break of dawn.
