Use of silica gel: The paper sachets are permeable to water vapour and can be placed directly in foil bags or similar airtight accessory packaging. Airtight accessory cases are also ideal. However, air must be able to circulate between the parts to be protected and the desiccant, otherwise the desiccant will not work.

Reactivating the silica gel: When the effect wears off, the desiccant must be reactivated. Simply place the bags in a heat-resistant container or on a heat-resistant surface, place the container in the oven and slowly heat the oven to a maximum temperature of 120 °C. Do not preheat the oven. The sudden heat will cause the beads to burst. After approx. 2 hours, the desiccant can be used again; leaving it longer will not cause any harm. This process can be repeated as often as required; nothing needs to be thrown away.

Please note: The large plastic bag is not heat-resistant and must not be placed in the oven. A microwave oven is completely unsuitable because, firstly, the temperature cannot be adjusted and, secondly, the rapid heating causes the water to evaporate suddenly, causing the beads to burst.
