With the HAE16C, iOptron once again offers a compact, highly portable dual mount with azimuth or parallactic function and a payload of up to 8 kg without counterweight or up to 12 kg with counterweight (counterweight and tripod are optional and not included).
The well-known Go2Nova® technology from iOptron also offers a database with 212,000 objects, ASCOM compatibility and, thanks to the integrated WLAN, control via tablet or Smartphone using SkySafari, Raspberry Pi or INDI. The Vixen saddle and the stable construction allow the use of various telescopes up to medium size.
The built-in "Electronic Friction Brake" control mechanism stops the mount immediately if the power supply is accidentally interrupted. After switching on, the mount calibrates itself automatically and also detects its position. A power supply is included in the scope of delivery, as is a robust (but lightweight!) carrying bag. Tripods and pier extensions are available as optional extras,but we recommend using the iOptron "CF Tripod 40mm" (item 77370).
SWG Hybrid: By using a strain wave gear (SWG) for the RA axis and a conventional worm gear for the DEC axis, this mount delivers tracking accuracy that rivals pure SWG mounts, but at a lower price!
