NYX is the ancient Greek goddess of the night, and Pegasus Astro now offers another powerful mount with Harmonic Drive technology and up to 14 kg payload under this name – without the need for a counterweight! This is ensured by the Harmonic Drive/Strainwave gear technology. The drive ensures smooth running with high torque. A fully CNC-machined aluminium alloy housing, black and blue anodised, and a selection of high-quality components (stepper motors, wave gear) within the mount ensure trouble-free operation for many years.
The NYX-88 also features an emergency power shut-off in case of an accidental power interruption and requires only 12 volts for smooth operation. Ports on the fixed part of the mount and internal cable management ensure tangle-free operation.
A built-in temperature and humidity sensor is included, as well as a dual Vixen/Losmandy saddle plate and an ST-4 autoguiding connection.
