Product description

The "UltraFlat Field Eyepiece features a high quality standard and a very compact design, which is designed to remove the field curvature at the edge, resulting in a flat, distortion-free image up to the edge of the visible field of view, even in very fast telesocpes.

The eyepiece has over - sized eyepiece lenses for the largest possible field of view and a high eyerelief - also suitable for spectacle wearers, the eye-rubber allow a comfortable view.

All lenses have a braod-band-multicoating (FMC) and blackened lens edges. The plug-in sleeve is equipped with a thread for "filters.

Unbelievably good!

I have used this eyepiece only with an 8" f4.5 Newtonian and it was simply put impressive!! The coma at the edge was very minimal despite f4.5 the parabolic primary. Very natural in colour and really sharp on axis. It was ok with 2"2x ED barlow as well providing a 15mm equivalent with a small increase in eye relief and mininal image deterioration (not bothersome at all). Someone has said that it is like a long focal length Morpheus, I can only confirm that since I have one of 6.5mm and they feel equally crisp and comfortable. Lastly, by flipping the eye rubber down the whole field can be viewed even with glasses on (recommended if you have astigmatism).
