This zoom eyepiece is a true allrounder and particularly ideal for observing compact celestial objects such as planets and planetary nebulae, but also for walks on the moon.
The focal length can be varied thanks to the well-designed construction of the eyepiece, which consists of seven lenses in four groups. All optical elements are fully multi-coated (FMC). This ensures high contrast.
The eyepiece's field of view is 60° at the lowest magnification. Turning the eyepiece body shortens the focal length. This increases the magnification. The field of view narrows to 40°, which is completely sufficient for observing planets and details on the moon.
The zoom eyepiece eliminates the hassle of changing eyepieces. You can easily adjust different focal lengths by turning it. Therefore, it can replace a range of eyepieces.
At the lowest magnification, celestial objects can be located and open star clusters can be viewed. For observation of the moon, planets and planetary nebulae, the magnification can be increased to the ideal value.
