Reducer 0.8x Full Frame RC

This reducer provides complete correction of the image field of RC telescopes with a reduction of the focal length to 80% of the native focal length. Many reducers usually reduce the focal length without correcting the image field. The result is aberration (astigmatism) in the corners of the image field. The larger the camera sensor, the more pronounced this aberration is.

The ARTESKY Reducer has been specially designed for the image field of RC telescopes with an aperture ratio of f/8, so that aberrations are completely eliminated. The result is sharper, more precise stars and easier focusing.

How do I mount the reducer on the telescope?

You have two options for adapting this reducer to the RC telescope:

You can either slide the corrector into the focuser or screw it onto the focuser using the adaptor supplied.

♦ Adjustment via M68x1 internal thread on the telescope side:

With special adaptors, it is possible to connect the corrector from 2.5 inches to any focuser. It is sufficient to equip the focuser with an M68x1 external thread on the camera side. Please note that a working distance of at least 135 mm must be maintained.

♦ Adaptors included in delivery:

Together with the reducer, Artesky supplies an adaptor from M68 to M78x1 with external thread. This allows the reducer to be connected to focusers with an internal thread of M78x1, such as the Artesky 3" RC focusers.

In this case, the back focus is reduced to 100 mm.
