The SCT Corrector LF II from Starizona is a full-frame focal length reducer and coma corrector for Celestron 11" and 14" standard Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes (not EdgeHD!). It provides a flat, coma-free field over an image circle of 42 mm (full format) and at the same time increases the light intensity of the telescope by a factor of 2.
The corrector is screwed directly onto the large 3.29" thread on the rear cell of the C11 and C14 telescopes. It minimises vignetting over large sensors. The remaining vignetting over a large field is minimal and is only limited by the apertures of the telescope, which are designed for a slower focal ratio; however, this vignetting can be easily removed by using Flatfield images.
Sharpness is excellent over a diagonal of 42 millimetres, with spot sizes up to 9x smaller than those of the native telescope! The aperture ratio is increased to 1:7.3 on the C14 and 1:7 on the C11, which means a speed increase of 2.3x and 2x respectively.
The SCT Corrector LF has been designed to increase the available back focus compared to Starizona's standard SCT corrector. The back focus is 146 millimetres, allowing a wide range of accessories to be attached. The rear threads on the SCT Corrector LF are the same 3.29" threads as on the rear cell of the C11 and C14 telescopes, making it easy to attach standard accessories.
