The focuser is attached to every telescope near the focal point of the light-gathering optics. As the name suggests, eyepieces can be inserted into the focuser. For astrophotography, focusers hold cameras and bring them into focus. This is why they are also referred to as focusers instead of eyepiece focusers.
The focuser is a hybrid system consisting of a rack and ball bearings. It allows precise focusing with a 1:11 reduction ratio.
Whether you are connecting a wide-angle eyepiece or a camera, this focuser improves the performance of your entire optical system. It is ideal for Skywatcher BD (Black Diamond) Newtonian telescopes and comparable models from other brands.
