Product description

The heater is stuck behind the secondary mirror. It fits all 6", 8" and 10" RC telescopes.

Fogging of secondary mirrors can best be prevented by using a fog protection cap and a secondary mirror heater. The ring-shaped heater is stuck to the back of the secondary mirror and warms it moderately from behind.

A split flexible ring allows for quick and easy mounting. The heating sleeve is simply stuck to the back of the secondary mirror with double-sided adhesive tape or a few drops of silicone rubber. The back of the heater is already insulated so that the heat energy only travels towards the secondary mirror. This prevents the air from heating up and the associated tube seeing as much as possible.

The supply line can be routed via an arm of the secondary mirror spider, which reduces annoying diffraction phenomena. It can be attached using insulating tape.
