Gerber Bear Grylls FIRE STARTER
When you scrape the edge of the Bear Grylls fire starter vigorously over the ferrocium rod, the scraped metal particles ignite in the air and burn as bright, very hot sparks. Ferrocium fire starters are now standard equipment in outdoor and survival kits. They also work in wet conditions and can be used at night as a signal device thanks to the bright flashes of light. The two parts of the casing are connected by a nylon cord and are therefore secure. A signal whistle integrated into the safety cord expands the range of possible uses.
