Standard operating mode
The standard mode measures the distance to the target you are aiming at in a straight line. If nothing is displayed in the "Targeting Modes" area of the screen, you are in standard mode.
When you are in standard mode and hold down the "ON" button, the rangefinders measure continuously so that you can move and receive constant updates on the distance.
Rain mode
Rain mode measures the distance to the target as the crow flies, ignoring interference from falling raindrops. The target distance must be more than 30 m or 33 yd.
Hunt mode
Hunt mode measures the distance to the target as the crow flies, ignoring any interference from tall grass or undergrowth between you and the target. This is ideal for measuring the distance to deer moving through tall grass or forest. When Hunt mode is activated, a circle is added to the icon.
