The PROSTAFF 5 spotting scopes are entry-level models among Nikon spotting scopes and the successors to the RA III series. The bodies of the PROSTAFF 5 spotting scopes are approximately 20% lighter than the current RA III series. The newly developed zoom eyepiece minimises colour aberration at the edge of the field of view and offers a long eye relief for comfortable observation.
Three types of eyepieces with digiscoping compatibility are available. Using a connection adapter from the FSB series, they can be connected to many of the digital compact cameras in the COOLPIX series.
