For over 35 years, the Böker Scout has been a permanent fixture in our range, whereby the term "permanent fixture" was to be taken quite literally for most of that time. It was not until 2015 that the Boy Scout, an elegant gentleman's and pocket version of this classic, saw the light of day. The Junior Scout, which is sized between the Scout and Boy Scout, bridges the gap between these two versions and, with its slim profile and seven-centimetre-long blade, offers a little more grip than the Boy Scout, but is still significantly more comfortable to carry than the classic Scout.
It is similar in design to its siblings and has a CNC-milled nickel silver body. The completely redesigned spear point blade with an elegant false edge on the back gives the Junior Scout a more modern and dynamic look without being obtrusive or aggressive. It is made from hand-forged Damascus steel by Chad Nichols from the USA and locked by a sturdy back lock. The stainless damascus in the Coibelt pattern is ice-hardened to 59 HRC. This makes the Junior Scout a handy yet sturdy everyday knife that combines classic style, elegance and practicality in an almost inimitable way. With lanyard hole and classic scales made from selected stag horn. Handcrafted in the Böker knife factory in Solingen. Each knife is delivered with an individual serial number and a certificate of authenticity.
1 Damascus steel is a composite steel, i.e. a steel made from at least two base steels with different properties. The end product has a clearly visible structure consisting of alternating layers of the base materials used. The aim of combining two or more base steels is to obtain an end product that combines their respective strengths.
