Leofoto SF-06 Replacement Lens Foot for Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM
The Leofoto SF-06 is a dedicated replacement lens foot for the Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM. It replaces the original tripod foot of the lens and provides a lower-profile, more stable and more practical connection between the lens and a tripod head.
Its low-profile design helps lower the centre of gravity of the lens. This improves the overall balance of the camera setup and provides better stability, especially for telephoto work, wildlife photography, sports photography and extended use on a tripod or gimbal.
The integrated Arca-Swiss dovetail allows the lens to be mounted directly on compatible quick-release clamps without an additional quick-release plate. This keeps the setup more compact, lighter and faster to use.
For added flexibility, the lens foot features a QD socket for compatible carrying straps as well as 1/4" and 3/8" threaded mounting holes for accessories. Two safety stops on the bottom help prevent accidental sliding out of the quick-release clamp if the clamp is not fully tightened.
The SF-06 is CNC-machined from high-grade 6061-T6 aluminium and finished with a hard-anodized coating. Its grippy contact surface improves carrying comfort and provides secure handling in mobile use.

Our expert comment:
Note: The SF-06 is designed for the Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5 GM with constant aperture. For the older Sony FE 100-400mm F4.5-5.6 GM OSS, the Leofoto SF-01 is the suitable lens foot.
