FLM Tripods
A stable tripod is one of the most important utensils required in photography. It serves for stably positioning the camera and ensures that the photographer has his hands free and can focus on camera alignment and design of the picture. Last but not least, a high-quality tripod is the best protection to prevent blurred pictures, especially when using large and heavy telephoto lenses. If there is no wobbling, there is no need for compensation by a possibly integrated picture stabiliser. In addition, a good tripod should be light to transport.
With high-quality carbon pipes for the tripod leg structure, extremely stable connections and optimised control elements, the carbon tripods from FLM provide an excellent contribution to producing a good picture.
General features of the CP26 series
- Carbon tripods made of 8-layer carbon material, making them very light yet highly stable. The diameter of the top tube segment is 26 mm, which is where these tripods get their model name. The tripod legs can be spread out in several stages and folded around the centre column for transport. For ground-level shots, the centre column can be removed and the camera plate screwed directly onto the tripod bridge. The screw for attaching the tripod head can be reversed and is therefore suitable for tripod heads with 1/4" and 3/8" connections. All models have rubber feet and spikes; the rubber foot can be unscrewed to reveal the spike.
- Tube segments with anti-shock lock system. The special locking mechanism allows the segments to be opened and locked quickly with one hand. All connections are protected against dirt and accidental loosening thanks to the A-S-L system.
- To increase stability, especially in windy weather, all models have an extendable hook at the bottom of the centre column. You can simply hang your rucksack or bag here so that it does not lie on the ground and lower the centre of gravity.
- Leg lock system: The automatic leg lock system allows the FLM Centerpod to be set up and folded away in just a few simple steps. To fold the tripod, the legs are swung down and then folded upwards by 180° in one movement. Folding upwards results in a very small pack size. To set up, simply fold the legs down again and they will automatically lock into the desired position.
The CP26 series is available in 3 heights, each with 4 tube segments:
- S = 119 cm without centre column extension
- M = 129 cm without centre column extension
- L = 143 cm without centre column extension
The product features are indicated in the model name:
e.g.CP26-S3S means: CP26 = series; S = overall height; 3 = tube segments; S = standard centre column construction
The CP26-S4S is a variant of the S height with 4 tube segments, i.e. 3 tripod leg extensions.
