Telescope and spotting scope vibration is caused by windy conditions, an unsteady mount or tripod or even an accidental bump to the instrument, and results in reduced image quality.

Celestron's set of three Vibration Suppression Pads will reduce vibration time by almost 100% and decrease vibration amplitude. The pads fit between the bottom of the tripod legs and the ground, a simple and functional solution to the problem of image disturbance.

They work on any surface: grass, dirt, concrete, asphalt, wood, etc., for both telescopes and spotting scopes.

These pads may not seem like an important equipment addition but they do significant aid reduction in vibration caused by wind and other factors. The pads consist of a hard outer shell and an inner disc on which the foot of the tripod sits on. Between the two is (what appears to be) a gel-filled area that effectively absorbs minor vibration. I primarily use my scope for astrophotography and therefore vibration reduction is important. Im pleased to say this product does it job very well and has aided me in obtaining some images.
