The Mastro-Tec Outdoor Azimuth Mount with Stand is a weatherproof solution for a wide range of applications. The mount can be used outdoors, in observatories, in mountain huts for nature observation, on hotel terraces, on beach promenades and in many other locations.
The special feature of the Mastro-Tec Outdoor Azimuth Mount is that no fixed optics are required; instead , any instruments such as spotting scopes, large binoculars or small refractors with a photo thread connection can be attached.
Hikers can even attach their own binoculars with the help of an inexpensive tripod adapter and relax while observing nature. The mount itself can be rotated 360° horizontally without stopping. The vertical alignment can be adjusted from -20° to 90° to the zenith. The stand column is made of thick-walled stainless aluminium and can be supplied in almost any desired height.
The stand column can be mounted in two different ways. With a large flange for screwing onto a base plate or by embedding in concrete, in which case the depth of the recess in the concrete must be added to the total height. A good and inexpensive alternative to expensive stand-mounted devices. If an optical system is to remain on the Mastro-Tec outdoor azimuth mount, for example in a private setting, so-called outdoor dust covers have proven to be ideal.
