Touch-free focusing via hand controller
Thanks to the included cable remote control, the focus can be adjusted remotely at any time – without even touching the telescope. Ideal for astrophotography: ongoing exposure sessions are not interrupted, and image sharpness is maintained at all times. The focus can also be adjusted comfortably and precisely during visual observation.
Autofocus and universal software compatibility
The electric focuser works seamlessly with popular astronomy software. It is compatible with most Windows-based programmes via the ASCOM driver. INDI and INDIGO drivers are also fully supported – meaning the electronic focusing motor works across platforms on Windows, Mac and Linux. If the software being used supports an autofocus function, the motor handles focusing fully automatically – ideal for long, automated exposure sessions.
Temperature sensor for consistently precise results
During long nights of observation and photography, the ambient temperature often fluctuates significantly. The telescope tube and optics react to this with minimal but measurable changes in shape – and consequently with a shift in the focus position. The temperature sensor supplied with the telescope’s focusing motor precisely detects these fluctuations. When used with suitable software, it automatically compensates for temperature-related shifts – ensuring consistently sharp images throughout the night.
Please note: The temperature sensor and hand controller cannot be used at the same time.
