Tuning orders can only be accepted and confirmed after appointment with Mastro-Tec.
In astrophotography, precise tracking control is absolutely essential. In order to achieve the lowest possible centre of gravity for the telescope system, the secondary system required for guiding must be mounted next to the main optics. Of course, you can also control the tracking with easy guiders, which throw some light into a reticle eyepiece or a small guiding camera via a small prism in the beam path, but in most cases there is no suitable guide star on the axis of the target object. With the stable "TWIN PLATE" you no longer have these problems. The smaller tracking optics can be finely adjusted away from the axis of the main instrument and aligned with a guide star. The design of the "TWIN PLATE" allows for clean balancing of the telescope system.
The Mastro-Tec "TWIN PLATE" can be mounted on all mounts with 3" Losmandy style. From the Skywatcher HEQ 5 class onwards (an optional GP adaptor is required here), its use makes sense for reasons of payload.
