The slim and robust OAG from Pegasus Astro is ideal for use with the Indigo filter wheel. The off-axis-guider features M2 and M3 threads in its housing for direct connection to numerous CMOS cameras or other filter wheels.
The main advantage of an OAG is that it uses the same optical path as the imaging camera. This avoids problems with differing deflections that can occur when using a separate guidescope above the main telescope.
The Indigo OAG has a very slim design. Its optical length is 10 mm; each adaptor has a length of 4 mm. This means the maximum total length is 18 mm, depending on the adaptors used.
The off-axis-guider is made from a robust aluminium alloy, ensuring a lightweight yet sturdy instrument. The prism can be easily adjusted in height to allow for better illumination of the field of view of the guide camera. If your imaging sensor is large, the prism can also be moved upwards so that the sensor’s optical path is not blocked.
A 12×8 mm, fully multi-coated prism provides high illumination for your tracking camera. The stars appear round and bright across the entire field of view of the off-axis-guider. The connection for the tracking camera is a 1.25" barrel mount. The image field can be aligned using the three screws supplied.
The package also includes an M54 threaded adapter for connecting to the telescope, as well as an M48 threaded adapter for connecting the camera.
