In brief:
- Adjustable prism for best possible illumination
- Leaves enough space for a filter wheel
- Can be used up to full format
The thin and solid OAG from Pegasus Astro can be used perfectly with the Indigo filter wheel. The off-axis guider has M2 and M3 threads in its housing for direct connection to numerous CMOS cameras or other filter wheels.
The main advantage of an OAG is that it uses the same optical path as the camera. This avoids problems with different deflections that can occur when using a separate guidescope above the main telescope.
The Indigo OAG has a very thin design. Its back focus is 10 mm, plus 4 mm for the telescope adaptor. This makes a total of 14 mm. The off-axis guider is made of a robust aluminium alloy, which ensures a lightweight and solid instrument. The prism can be easily adjusted in height to allow better illumination of the field of view of the tracking camera. If your imaging sensor is large, the prism can also be moved upwards so that the optical path of the sensor is not blocked.
A 12×8mm, fully multi-coated prism provides high illumination for your tracking camera. The stars are round and bright throughout the entire field of view of the off-axis guider. The tracking camera connection is a 1.25" barrel mount. The image section can be aligned using the three screws supplied.
The scope of delivery also includes an M54 thread adapter for connecting the telescope and an M48 thread adapter for connecting the camera.
