The SolarMax 60 H-Alpha solar filter from Coronado has a thread on the lens filter that fits natively on a TeleVue 76 refractor. Other telescope types with and without lens threads require a suitable adaptor to use the SolarMax 60.
This adapter made of aluminium is stable yet lightweight, so that the telescope with filter does not become too top-heavy. The barrel adaptor on the lens side is lined with velvet to protect the lens coating. The filter adaptor is secured by three plastic screws, the ends of which are also covered with velvet.
