The Manfrotto Fluid Video Head 701HDV complements the Manfrotto family of HDV video heads and rounds off the portfolio at the lower end.
Despite its compact design and low weight of only 830 grams, the 701HDV video head can safely pan and tilt camcorders weighing up to 4 kg. This provides optimum support for the latest HDV and HD camcorders. The design of the 701HDV video head has been adapted to the look of the HDV family. The controls have been redesigned for improved ergonomics and now offer better grip, enabling secure control of movements.
The newly developed fluid cartridges ensure smooth pan and tilt movements. The pan handle can now be mounted on either side, ensuring safe operation even for left-handed users. An additional pan handle is available as an option.
The 501PL quick release plate used is already familiar from larger models and is now also used on the 701HDV. The longer travel range of the quick release plate, now totalling 58 mm, allows the camcorder to be balanced even better.
A levelling bubble and separate locks for the pan and tilt ranges complete the functions of the 701HDV video head.
