The "easy-sun-finder" solar finder allows you to quickly and safely locate the sun. Please only use with telescopes equipped with solar filters!
The solar finder has a small hole in the front lens. This is where the sun's rays enter. On the second surface of the finder, you will see target rings. In the centre of these rings, you will see a bright, matt reflective disc. The incoming sun's rays are visible as a small round disc. Move the telescope until the point of light from the sun is centred on the reflective surface. The sun is now aligned.
More than three mounting options:
- Mounting directly on the telescope tube: You will receive a solar finder with a mounting kit. This kit allows you to attach the finder directly to any telescope tube. A special mounting base (included in delivery) can either be attached with power strips, screwed to the tube or fastened with long cable ties (not included).
- Mounting in a standard finder shoe: the base of the "easy-sun-finder" solar finder fits into a standard T-finder shoe.
- Mounting on a Telrad finder: The mounting kit includes a bracket that clicks onto the Telrad as a mounting base. This rider holds the base of the solar finder in place with two screws. The rider and the base remain on the Telrad. The entire unit can be moved back and forth on the Telrad. This allows you to continue to access the battery and the inner workings of the Telrad. All replacement caps for the Telrad available on the market can continue to be used!
