Opticron BC-2 Hide Clamp c/w 157QK Panhead

The BC-2 Bench Clamp is a lightweight & rigid bench clamp support for use in Hide/Blinds and suitable horizontal railings. Featuring a 500mm vertical extension pole and 3-way panhead it provides stable pan, tilt and side tilt for telescopes, binoculars, photographic and other imaging equipment.

I've been searching for some time for such a mount

Iwas looking to get a support for my spotting scope and astro-binoculars to be used at the window or from the balcony. Tripods are unpractical for that purpose (take too much space..). I was enthusiastic to find the HIDE MOUNT (great invention); but, since I do not have a HIDE, one might as well call it HOUSE WINDOW MOUNT.
I watch birds during day light (mostly bird nesting, but the nesting season is over...) and during the night the sky and what peouple do in their houses with the lights on. Currently is the Saturn & Jupiter season. The mount is steady enough to view the planets at 90x.
Very interesting brand OPTICRON . Very good store OPTICS-PRO. Delivery was as stated.
The pitch of the clamp thread could have been a little bigger; it takes too long to turn the knob.
