More about the series Wide-T...
With this accessory, you can adapt the camera bayonet of a system camera, e.g. a single-lens reflex camera (DSLR), to the T2 thread (M42x0.75).
There are several ways to connect the camera to the telescope with the T2 ring: What almost always works is to use a 2" plug-in sleeve with a T2 thread. A screw connection is of course even better. To do this, the focuser of the telescope must have a T2 thread. If it does not, another adaptor can be used to convert the thread of the focuser to T2.
All Baader Wide-T rings from Baader have an S52 dovetail mount in addition to the insert ring on T2. This makes it possible to modify the T-ring to an M48 female thread using Baader Adapter Reducing piece S52 / M48, or to use the Baader Adapter 2"/S52 extension tube without the constriction on T2. With the Baader Adapter M68/S52 Adaptors for Wide-T-Rings, the Wide-T ring can be adapted directly to an M68 external thread in order to screw your camera tightly with the largest possible clearance.
With the optional Baader UFC S52 dovetail camera adapter for EOS/Sony, all Wide-T rings can be adapted directly to a UFC filter drawer in order to be able to change filters in different sizes directly in front of the chip.
