With this accessory, you can adapt the camera bayonet of a system camera, e.g. a single-lens reflex camera (DSLR), to the T2 thread (M42x0.75).
There are several ways to connect the camera to the telescope with the T2 ring: What almost always works is to use a 2" plug-in sleeve with a T2 thread. A screw connection is of course even better. To do this, the focuser of the telescope must have a T2 thread. If it does not, another adaptor can be used to convert the thread of the focuser to T2.
- The adaptor fits, among others: Sony NEX 3 - NEX7, A3000, A5000, A6000, A7, α cameras with E-mount interchangeable lenses
- The flange focal distance of the Sony A7, A7R and A7S cameras is 18 mm.
The adaptor provides the correct distance between the E-mount flange focal distance (18 mm) and the T2 flange focal distance (55 mm). The overall length is 37 mm.
