Nitecore E-Serie
The Explorer series is primarily aimed at outdoor enthusiasts. The top priority: a practical design in a housing that is as compact and lightweight as possible.
To describe the Nitecore EC11 simply as the successor to the EC1 would not even begin to do it justice. As Nitecore's first lamp, the EC11 not only runs on a CR123 battery, but also works with a type 18350 IMR rechargeable battery thanks to its special control electronics. This high-current rechargeable battery stands out from normal (and equally sized) 16340/RCR123 batteries with significantly higher discharge currents and much lower internal resistance, which means that the EC11, with a total length of just 75 mm, can achieve a maximum light output of 900 lumens! No other torch known to us achieves this incredible ratio of size to light output. As an additional special feature, the EC11 offers a smaller red LED in the reflector, which serves as a standby light, continuous light or flashing signal. A RCR123 (16340) rechargeable battery can also be used, which increases the output by approx. 25% compared to battery operation.
The other features meet Nitecore's high standards:
- Two switches ("On-Off" and "Control")
- Cree XM-L2 U2 LED
- Additional red LED in the reflector
- 5 brightness levels
With 18350 IMR rechargeable battery: 900/300/160/70/1 lumens
With CR123 battery: 430/230/100/40/1 lumens - Removable clip
- Waterproof according to IPX-8
- Hardcoat anodised aluminium housing
- Coated mineral glass lens

Please note that the IMR battery type 18350 mentioned in the description may only be used in the Nitecore EC11. Only the electronics of the Nitecore EC11 are designed for use with this unprotected high-current battery. Use in other lamps may result in EXPLOSION HAZARD!
