With this accessory, you can connect your Dobson telescope to the SkySafari app via Bluetooth or WLAN (Wi-Fi). You can then use the planetarium software on your Smartphone or tablet to orientate yourself in the sky. The screen will show you the current field of view of your telescope, marked with a crosshair. If you want to point the telescope at a specific object in the sky, the app shows you how to move the telescope in altitude and azimuth. This technology is also known as PushTo, in reference to GoTo telescopes, which use motors. With PushTo, you are the motor, but you enjoy all the other advantages of computer control.
